Green Dot California
After separating from the national organization, Green Dot California needed to hire over 70 new staff members to support their schools in key areas such as IT, human resources, development, and public policy. Working as a team, we optimized their new organizational structure to ensure the network had the appropriate capacity to support their 18 schools. Over the next 10 months, we created a process to develop clear job descriptions, identify exceptional talent, and select and onboard new staff to the home office. With so many new staff members joining the organization, it was clear that we needed to prioritize staff culture. We developed a comprehensive onboarding program, including purposeful opportunities for new and existing staff to build relationships.
Bernallio Public Schools
Bernallio Public Schools embarked on a strategic planning process, they realized quickly that they needed a different organizational structure to support their ambitious goals. Working alongside the strategic planning team, we helped them identify key priorities and an organizational structure to match. We helped them write new job descriptions for the organization and identify the candidates who would be most capable of moving the organization strategically forward. Once the team was in place, we lead a two-day leadership retreat, including classroom walkthroughs, to ground the team in our mission and help ensure leadership alignment on the key academic priorities.
LA Promise Fund, Valiente Charter School, and Westbrook Academy
When Valiente Charter School and Westbrook Academy made the bold decision to unite on a single campus, they turned to Schoolhouse Consulting to guide them through this pivotal moment. In the first phase of the partnership, we facilitated weekly strategy sessions to ensure a seamless integration of the two organizations, laying the groundwork for a unified staff experience and supporting the hiring process for transitioning team members. As the collaboration evolved, Schoolhouse Consulting launched a comprehensive staff climate survey and delivered targeted, actionable recommendations to help foster a strong, inclusive school culture, setting the organization up for future success.
